What to Expect at the New Cooper Street Reserve

Work is underway for an awesome new all-abilities playground at Cooper Street Reserve. 

This custom-designed playground will feature ramps leading to the highest platform, spiral climbing nets, super-long slides, and an array of swings to keep everyone smiling. Trampolines, a carousel, and plenty of opportunities for nature play will add to the adventure.

And that's not all – imagine cooling off with water sensory play inspired by the good old backyard days, complete with misting from a Hills hoist. Plus, the playground will have soft, cushy surfacing throughout for safety.

With picnic settings and plenty of seating scattered around, Cooper Street Reserve will be the ultimate hangout spot for kids and families alike

 

Second All-Abilities Playground for The Shire

After six years of anticipation, the first Livvi's Place playground in the Sutherland Shire is almost ready to welcome families—which makes Cooper Street Reserve the second all-abilities playground for the Shire. We love to see it! 

Nestled within the vibrant Bay Central Woolooware, Livvi's Place Sutherland Shire promises to be a shining gem for the community. Created in partnership with the Touched By Olivia Foundation, the Livvi's Place Playground is sure to capture the hearts of children and families alike, offering a haven of fun and adventure for all to enjoy.

Active Sports Youth Precinct

In addition to the incredible new playground that's in the works, get ready to dive into the fun at Cooper Reserve's incoming Active Sports Youth Precinct! In store is an exciting new skate park with plaza-style street skating, a thrilling pump track for biking enthusiasts, a half basketball court for some friendly hoops action, outdoor exercise equipment, parkour elements for those who love to leap and bound, a bike maintenance and repair station to keep your wheels in top shape, and of course, plenty of shaded areas for relaxing and socialising with friends. Phew! What more could we want?! 

Location & Opening Date

Cooper Street Reserve is situated at 1148 Old Princes Highway, Engadine. The work on the playground and ASYP is expected to be completed in May 2024, weather permitting. Watch this space for further updates!
