GLOW at Sydney Zoo Returns to Illuminate Autumn 2026

GLOW at Sydney Zoo is back for 2026, lighting up Eastern Creek from 8 May to 14 June with a bigger, brighter after-dark adventure for families.

This year's event promises new lights, new thrills and more interactive moments, transforming the zoo into a dazzling world of colour, sound and movement.

So, what's in store for families at GLOW 2026? Sydney Zoo will once again transform into a dazzling playground, buzzing with everything from luminous light sculptures to neon-lit carnival rides. Don't miss your chance to experience Western Sydney's ultimate light festival!

GLOW Light Walk

Families can wander through the GLOW Light Walk, where glowing animal encounters, shimmering starry skies, illuminated paw prints, playful projections and a towering full moon set the scene for a wild night out.

It's part light festival, part zoo adventure and totally Insta-worthy!

GLOW Zone

The 2026 event also includes the GLOW Zone, where the carnival-style fun continues with rides, food and extra after-dark excitement.

Entry to the GLOW Zone is free, with ride tokens available to purchase separately, so families can choose whether to keep things low-key or go full festival mode. Rides on offer for 2026 include the Ferris Wheel, Super Slide, Dodgem Cars, Pirate Ship, Jumping Castle, Fantasy Cups and more.

GLOW Food

Hungry little glow-getters are covered too, with Sydney Zoo's food and beverage outlets open throughout the event, plus themed treats, drinks and cosy bites along the way. 

Parents will be pleased to know that GLOW is an all-ages event, that kids under 3 receive complimentary entry, and that Sydney Zoo is fully wheelchair accessible, with no hills or steps. Pram, wheelchair and mobility scooter hire is available, though pre-booking is recommended.

The GLOW Light Walk runs from 5.30 pm to 9.30 pm, while the GLOW Zone is open from 5 pm to 10 pm.
