Costume Pardi Family Workshop 2023

Get ready to create a show-stopping look for Mardi Gras with the Costume Pardi family workshop! Join us at the Centre for Creativity in the Sydney Opera House for a weekend of creativity and sustainability with renowned designers Sally Jackson and Gary Bigeni.

This event is perfect for families looking to get crafty and learn about the history of sustainable fashion. You'll work with recycled and repurposed materials to create unique and custom-made costumes that are perfect for the parade.

Kids and families will receive upcycled denim garments that have been hand-dyed by Gary Bigeni in his bold and colourful style. You'll learn textile manipulation techniques to create a range of headpieces, jacket flowers, necklaces, wrist-cuffs, and boot covers that will add the perfect finishing touch to your outfit.

But the fun doesn't stop there! Show off your creations on the catwalk and in a photoshoot with your friends. You'll also learn handy tips to incorporate sustainable fashion practices into your everyday life.
