The entire museum precinct comes alive with Wonderwater, featuring six captivating exhibitions, interactive activity areas, powerful live performances, and even a mini-film festival. Engage with hands-on activities like the Great Southern LEGO® Reef build-zone, and immerse yourself in the ever-changing ocean world – offering more ways to explore than an octopus has tentacles!

Be mesmerised by the "Ocean Photographer of the Year" exhibition, showcasing over 100 stunning photographs that highlight the beauty and threats of our blue planet. Dive into the life of Valerie Taylor, an Australian marine conservation pioneer, in "An Underwater Life."

Let your imagination run wild in the "Octopus Garden," a fascinating interactive experience developed with Junior Major and InkHunter. "Blueback: Sharing the Secrets" offers a behind-the-scenes look at Tim Winton’s book adaptation, while the "CBeebies Museum Treasure Trail" takes you on a delightful search through the museum’s collection.

Wonderwater also brings extraordinary live performances to its waters. Experience "Il Tabarro" by Sydney Festival, a nautical noir opera set aboard the historic lightship Carpentaria. "The Sea is Still a Mystery," a unique shadow play by Jumaadi and Michael Toisuta, tells stories of oceanic journeys.

Don't miss the "Sea it All Film Festival" for an array of sea-themed short films, and join the "New Beginnings Festival" for a celebration of hope and unity. The art installation "Rainbow, Mermaid, Fireworks" adds a touch of magic to the museum, while daily roving performances from entertainers like ERTH and Neisha Murphy Circus bring the excitement to life.
