This WorldPride, SEA LIFE and WILD LIFE are Celebrating animal ‘Dating & Mating’!

Let's forget about what goes on under the sheets! SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo are going to show you how things are done in the bush, on the ice, and below the ocean's surface.

To honour Sydney WorldPride 2023, SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo are celebrating diversity and relationships in the animal kingdom.

The Dating & Mating journey will treat guests to fascinating stories about the many colourful creatures in their care and give them an understanding of how each species finds a mate, breeds, and raises its young.

You will learn how animals show love in a variety of ways, from 'same-sex-love' demonstrated by SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium's world-famous male gentoo penguin power couple, Sphen and Magic, to 'self-love' shown by WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo's inhabitants who can clone themselves!

At SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium:

• You'll have the chance to help same-sex penguins Sphen and Magic build their nests from pebbles
   
• Learn which fish species transition from male to female throughout their lives
   
• During a visit to the on-site nursery, you can see a male endangered White's seahorse give birth
   
• Take a selfie with Pig the dugong in Pig's Tunnel of Pride or in front of the Oceans of Pride glitter wall
   

At WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo:

• Learn how the new freshwater crocodile ‘throuple’ use bubbles to attract a mate
   
• Find out which creatures are so independent they can clone themselves alone
   
• A bower bird will appreciate a personalised blue love heart for his 'bower' (nest)
   
• Take a selfie with an entwined-snakes love heart frame

You'll find plenty of fun activities to keep the kids entertained, cute photo opportunities for couples, and sweet discoveries for the whole family.

Both attractions are open seven days a week. Pre-booking is required for all guests.
