Illuminate Wollondilly Festival of Art and Light 2024

From 20-22 September 2024, Picton will be the place to be for festival-goers looking for immersive art and cultural excitement. As day turns to night, the town's historic buildings will be bathed in brilliant, breathtaking digital projections, showcasing the talents of both emerging and established local artists. These awe-inspiring light displays will create a magical atmosphere, turning Picton into a canvas of illuminated art.

Expect to see the streets buzzing with live music, captivating performances, and a wide variety of market stalls offering everything from local crafts to delicious food. Whether you're in the mood for international flavours or want to sample the best of the region's culinary delights, there's something to satisfy every palate.

Event Highlights

Long Table Dinner - Fire & Ice (20 September)

Indulge in an evening like no other with the Fire & Ice Long Table Dinner, a feast for the senses under a canopy of twinkling lights. Sponsored by Bendigo Bank, this dinner offers the perfect blend of gourmet food, great company, and a unique atmosphere where the contrasting elements of fire and ice come together in a stunning display. The setting, the food, and the artistry combine to make this a truly memorable experience.

Building Projections 

The iconic Building Projections return at Illuminate Wollondilly for all to enjoy from 6-9 pm in Picton Town Centre. There'll also be a music festival, Illuminate Markets, and more.

South 32 Art & Light Display 

The Picton Botanic Gardens will come to light, showcasing the spectacular lantern parade, sculpture and lantern display by LightnUp and the brand new South 32 Illuminated Photo Booth. 

Illuminate Wollondilly Carnival 

Buckle up for family fun at the Illuminate Wollondilly Carnival, which returns bigger and better this year! Running over three jam-packed days, the carnival promises thrilling rides, neon-lit putt-putt, carnival games, and even a silent disco. It's a dream come true for kids and adults alike, offering hours of fun and excitement.

Illuminate Music on the Lawn

For those who love music, head to the new Botanic Gardens stage for a full day of live performances. The relaxed atmosphere of Music on the Lawn invites you to bring a picnic blanket, stretch out on the grass, and enjoy a diverse lineup of musical acts. Or, if the rhythm takes over, feel free to get up and dance the day away!
