The 22nd Biennale of Sydney is open at Cockatoo Island for a perfect winter's day out! 

Since its inception in 1973, the Biennale of Sydney has provided a platform for art and ideas, showcasing the work of nearly 1,800 artists from more than 100 countries. Under the backdrop of Cockatoo Island, Sydney’s largest island, this is a winter activity not to be missed. 

While on Cockatoo Island you can also visit 10 other historic sites that together form the Australian Convict Sites World Heritage Property. As a result of its pivotal role in Australia’s convict and defence history, it retains an incredible legacy of over 80 colonial and industrial assets including buildings, cranes, docks and slipways.
