The longest sushi train in the Southern Hemisphere has just opened in Brisbane, adding to the list of seriously long sushi trains Australia is famous for.

First up, Sushi Jiro in Westfield Doncaster set a world record with their sushi train stretching a whopping 30.6 metres. The Doncaster hotspot opened at the end of 2023 when it was toted as having one of the longest circular sushi trains in the world. But wait, a new sushi train has opened that's even longer!

Get ready to be wowed because Sushi Jiro at Westfield Chermside is now home to the longest sushi train in the Southern Hemisphere! The sushi express spans an incredible 115 metres and can seat 171 guests. This ranking comes in at a close second to the longest sushi train in the world - that title goes to Kura Sushi in Tokyo, which stretches for an impressive 123 metres!

Honourable mention must also go to Sushi Wawa in Perth, which also boasts one of the world's longest sushi trains at an impressive 62 metres!
