Rekindling Childhood Memories: Port Macquarie❜s Fantasy Glades for Sale

  • All Ages

Exciting news, fairy tale lovers! Fantasy Glades, a beloved nugget of Aussie nostalgia tucked away in sunny Port Macquarie, is up for sale. With big plans for a magical facelift, this enchanting spot is all set to cast its spell on a brand-new generation.

Blast From The Past

The infamous dragon statue with "flashing eyes".

Fantasy Glades, located at 5 Parklands Close, was once the stage for enchanting tales and make-believe adventures. The captivating castle and miniature houses hark back to beloved Disney classics and Brothers Grimm stories, making it an endearing piece of our collective childhood.

Opened in 1968, this once-bustling theme park run by George and Rosemary Whitaker drew in families from across the country for 35 fun-filled years before closing its doors in 2002. Whether it was marvelling at the dragon statue with flashing eyes, exploring Snow White's delightful house, or wandering through Cinderella's majestic castle, Fantasy Glades ensured a touch of magic at every turn.

Social media is buzzing with Aussies sharing their fond memories, with images of past visits to the iconic three-metre-tall boot from the nursery rhyme 'There was an Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe' making the rounds online.

Eight years ago, current owner Jeff Crowe swooped in like a gallant knight to rescue the park from its Sleeping Beauty-esque slumber. Under his careful watch, Fantasy Glades has been transformed from forgotten to fantastical, ready to welcome a whole new generation of dreamers and adventurers.

Listing agent David Geary from McGrath Port Macquarie praises Crowe's efforts, saying, "Jeff has done a brilliant job reviving the place. It's wonderful to see his hard work and dedication bringing it back to its former glory."
