Freshwater Beach

Freshwater Beach is a good family beach with excellent body boarding at the south end. This is the place where official surfboard riding began so as you can imagine, it’s a great beach for surfing but can be a little bit hazardous for beginner swimmers. For the small ones, there’s a big rockpool to splash while their older siblings can chase the waves on their body boards.

The beach has everything you need for a great family day out-there are change rooms, lap swimming, toilets and council parking.  It adjoins a reserve that has plenty of shade, bbqs and a playground and there is plenty of parking.
