The Bandaged Bear Appeal is the signature fundraising appeal for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, helping to raise vital funds for patients and their families.

This year, the Appeal is focused on helping children and young people live their healthiest lives possible. From 1 March – 31 March, the Appeal will aim to raise $1million to go towards lifesaving equipment, research into childhood diseases and deliver world class services for sick kids and their families.

Bandaged Bear Day falls on Friday, 1 March and you can help out by purchasing merchandise on the day or by making a donation at www.bandagedbear.org.au or calling 1800 770 122 or even holding an event throughout the month. And don't worry if you miss the offical Bandaged Bear Day, there is lots happening througout the month including: 

Friday 9 March – Sydney Ferries: Volunteers will be selling merchandise and collecting donations at Circular Quay, Barangaroo & Manly Ferry terminals. If you see a volunteer, be sure to say hi or show your support.

Wednesday 21 March – Race for Grace: The 24 hour stationary cycle challenge will commence at 4pm. Held in the Hospital’s foyer (outside Outpatients), the Race for Grace will raise funds for the Grace Centre for Newborn Intensive Care while contributing to the overall fundraising total for the Bandaged Bear Appeal.
