Be sure to check out the State Library’s delightful new Family Space these Summer school holidays.

Drop in and enjoy books, puppets, dress-ups, games and activities curated specifically for under 5s. The Family Space is open 9am to 5pm on weekdays and 10am to 5pm on weekends. Entry is free.

Drop In Activity - Monsters Theme

Join in for some monster fun in January. Make a set of scary claws, monster mouth selfies, dice monster maker and collage creatures.

Author / Illustrator Workshop - Matthew Lin

Marvellous Manga artist Matthew Lin will show you how to hone your drawing skills and create a Manga inspired creature or two. Impress your friends with your drawing skills and maybe even spark some ideas for your own cartoon comic strip character.

Workshop - Sock Monsters (8-12yrs)

Start with a stuffed sock, add some beastly elements and what do you have? Your very own, one of a kind sock monster. Learn some of the tips and tricks of using a needle and thread and you’re on your way to owning a truly original ogre!
