Roller Rink Pops Up On Top Of Broadway Shopping Centre

  • Wed Sep 05 - Sun Sep 30 2018
  • Parents Only
  • From: $5.00

Dust off those leg warmers and bouffant that hair, there's a rooftop roller-skating rink popping up on top of Broadway Shopping Centre.

As part of the Sydney Fringe Festival, the open air rooftop of the Broadway shopping centre (who knew?!) will transform into an 80s disco style roller rink hosted by charismatic social media personality, Cameron Robbie.

You can get your skates on Wednesdays to Sundays (weekdays 5–10pm; weekends 9am–10pm) and from 9am–5pm tickets are just $5. All other operating times will cost you $15, with rental roller skates included (BYO socks). A DJ will be there spinning those (hopefully) 80s tunes!

The full program of the festival has just been announced.

After a round of skating, guests can enjoy a meal from the L2 Dining precinct, watch a movie at HOYTS or sneak in some retail therapy. Broadway boasts an exciting mix of restaurants including Zeus Greek Street, Din Tai Fung and Grill’d Healthy Burgers

When: September 5-30, 2018
Where: Broadway Shopping Centre
Cost: From $5

The roller event is creating terrible noise issues which is disturbing the residents who live near the shopping centre. Am a local resident and can hear the disco noise blaring full blast very night Tue, Wed, Thurs, Fri. Sat and Sun from the rooftop. Same crappy songs getting played every bloody night. It's a living nightmare for the locals near by who are trying to unwind after a long day at work. Not sure how they got council approval to pump the music so loud almost every night for a month facing residential apartments.
