Paper daisies are a native flower to the Western seaboard, making The Australian Botanic Garden in Mount Annan one of the few places visitors can enjoy mass plantings of these gorgeous flowers on the east coast.

Throughout September and October, magnificent species of Rhodanthe and Schoenia will cover 2000m2 of the garden in a sea of bright pinks, whites and yellows (that’s the size of 1.6 Olympic swimming pools!) The flowerbeds are situated at the base of the Connections Garden, and if you're a keen gardener looking to grow some paper daisies of your own—there will be seeds available for purchase!

The stunning flowers are just one reason to take a trip to the Australian Botanic Garden this spring, while the weather isn't too extreme and flowers of all colours are out in bloom. The garden also boasts exhibitions, guided walks, a mountain bike track and over 20km of walking tracks—making it the perfect destination for a family day out.
