Popular Halloween Festival is back again in 2018 for another year thanks to the Nicholson Street Public School student and parent community.

Now in its 31st year, the Festival has morphed from a party that was hosted by an American family who had children at the school, to the school’s annual fundraiser and the biggest Halloween event in the Inner West.

It has become a well-known community event for the residents of the Balmain peninsula and beyond, offering a day of fun for families with kids. They can dress up, enjoy the games and activities at the festival and not break the bank in the process.

This year, the school has made an effort to increase the variety of activities to better cater for 3 to 5 year-olds, as well as bringing back all of the popular activities for school aged children such as a variety of inflatables, the Haunted House and the Monster Mash.

We are recognising the importance of the children who currently attend pre-schools in the area who are the future students of Nicholson Street Public School” says P&C President Phil Garrett. “With an ever-increasing focus on school readiness and making the transition to primary school as easy as possible, we want to encourage families with younger children to come and be a part of our wonderful school community as early as possible.” The toddler area will include crafts, fairground games and a special inflatable.
