Ed.Square Town Centre: South Mall Opening Celebrations

Ed.Square Town Centre is already brimming with dining, entertainment and shopping galore, so we were beyond excited to hear that they are about to open their brand new South Mall. With shops, artworks and a major indoor, all-weather play area for kids, put it in your diaries now to join in four big days of opening week celebrations that kick off on 24 June.

New Amenities and Shops

Parents will also be well looked after with an abundance of dining and coffee choices in the Town Centre, with new shops including Boost Juice, Medispecs, The Shed Café, Manhattan Jewellery and Just Sport. 

To complete the family-friendly space, Ed.Square will also unveil a  fresh fully-fitted parents’ room and toilets. 

New Indoor Play Area

Your kids will be elated when they see Ed.Square Town Centre's brand new 120sqm indoor children’s play area.  The area will comprise of two age-specific playscapes, including the junior area for kids aged up to four years, which will feature a ‘Junior Cube’ with a crawl tube, vertical forest, and activity wall. There will also be an inclusive kaleidoscope cubby for children of all ages and abilities to explore.

Kids aged from three to seven years will love the hanging pods, which measure up to 3.8-metres off the ground. Ideal for climbing, the gumnut-shaped hanging pods are inspired by the native species in the area and come down from the attached slide.

There is also a mini trampoline, rock climbing wall and two additional slides in the area to keep little ones entertained.

This is all in addition to the range of existing entertainment options such as the outdoor water play area, iPlay and Event Cinema.

Opening Weekend Celebrations

To celebrate the opening of the South Mall, there will be four days of family fun from Thursday 24th June to Sunday 27th June featuring roving performers, a performance by the Hot Potato Band and for those with an artistic flair, workshops from Candy and Canvas.
