ARTplay Online at Museum of Contemporary Art

ARTplay is back and ready to play! Engage all the senses in this creative online playdate for children aged 5 years and under.

Wednesday mornings will be your new favourite playdate. Join Museum of Contemporary Art online from your lounge room, garden or bedroom for a 4-week creative adventure!

You and your mini art lover will be led by MCA artist educators through a range of exhibition-inspired artmaking, storytelling and sing-a-longs. You will even learn a weekly word in Australian sign language.

Using simple items found in your home, each week they will play together online during these interactive sessions to introduce new artworks and concepts looking at shapes, colours, patterns and more.

Perfect for ages 0–5 years. Limited spaces online, booking is required.

What do I need?

No additional materials required. Before each session, you will receive an email with a list of basic household objects to help the creative vibes flourish and support the artmaking session. This is an interactive session for parents and children to partake in together.

What’s included in your ticket?

You will receive access to 4 online sessions where you will have the chance to make new friends and meet other families. The weekly playdate runs from 10.30am–11.10am (40-minute sessions). Don't worry if you can only pop in for a short amount of time or can’t make every session, there will be a new theme every week!

This event will take place on Zoom, and participants will be asked to have their cameras on throughout the class. The event link will be emailed to all participants 1–3 days prior.
