This summer, look no further than Museums Victoria as Melbourne Museum, Scienceworks and Immigration Museum are offering a vibrant and exciting range of events, programs and exhibitions for all ages. 

Featuring live music from Melbourne Music Week — Extended, comedy performances from Melbourne International Comedy Festival, outdoor films from IMAX Melbourne, a new lightning room show at Scienceworks, new exhibitions exploring identity, community and belonging at Immigration Museum and so much more. Celebrate summer in the city, the return of live music and comedy as well as cult and family cinema classics. Movie sessions are on
Thursdays 6pm-10pm and Sundays 5pm-9pm. 

Milarri Summer holiday program 
Sunday 3 January  – Tuesday 25 January

Celebrate and learn more about Victorian First Peoples’ cultures, histories and connection to country.  Adventure through the Forest Gallery, walk the Milarri Garden Trail and discover indigenous plants and a whole lot more!

100 Tiny Dinosaurs
Until Saturday 23 January

100 dinosaurs have escaped the Mini Mega Model Museum. In this game of Din-O-Seek, Melbourne Museum’s staff need help to locate the missing dinosaurs hiding throughout the museum galleries.   

WILD: Animals drawing webinar

Learn how to draw the favourite animal from the Wild: Amazing animals in a changing world exhibition in this webinar that you can do from home. 

SEA LIONS: LIFE BY A WHISKER 3D at IMAX Melbourne

Mexican Star Piñata Workshop
Saturday 23 January 

Celebrate the Christmas and New Year season by creating and decorating a traditional seven-pointed star piñata, with expert maker Flor Labana.  She will will teach you how to make your own glue, how to make papier-mâché and also some secrets to great results when building your piñata from scratch. You will also learn the cultural significance of these fun flying objects. At the end you can take your mini piñata and fill it at home!
