Rising Festival

Launching in tandem with the total lunar eclipse set to grace our skies on Wednesday, May 26, Melbourne will be welcoming its brand new arts and culture festival, Rising. The festival is due to run for 12 nights at venues and public spaces across the city—showcasing a whopping 133 different projects of art, music and performance.

The festival will be a celebration of all things Melbourne—so of course, you can expect some epic food and wine thrown in amongst jaw-dropping installations, inspiring performances and thought-provoking artworks. 

We think a huge highlight will be the Sidney Myer Music Bowl—which will transform into a supernatural forest for The Wilds, complete with light shows, supersized sculptures, mirrored illusions and Rinky Dink—a super fun, moonlit ice skating rink! While not all events will be child-appropriate, some will—so make sure you check out the full program to see what piques your interest!
