A touring installation artwork by UK artist Luke Jerram, now is your chance to get up close and personal with the moon at Scienceworks: it's seven metres in diameter and features detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface. "At an approximate scale of 1:500,000, each centimetre of the internally lit spherical sculpture represents 5km of the moon’s surface," the Museum of the Moon said.

No Museum of the Moon exhibit is identical; the installation is sometimes presented outdoors, other times outdoors, and with new musical compositions by BAFTA and Ivor Novello award winning composer Dan Jones at each location.

Each installation comes with its own story influenced by the location, the most up-to-date moon science and lunar-inspired events under the magical light of the moon.
