Lunar New Year celebrations at SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium

SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium is celebrating Lunar New Year and welcoming the Year of the Rat with spectacular underwater dragon dances and other festive activities from 25 January – 2 February.

Watch the vibrant underwater dragon swim alongside the sharks, rays and fish in the 2.2 million litre Oceanarium every day at 1:40pm! Visit the Penguin Playground – home to SEA LIFE Melbourne’s famous sub-Antarctic King and Gentoo penguins – where you can place your New Year wish on the Wishing Wall.

Create a jellyfish lantern in the new Ocean Invaders zone and pose for two different Lunar New Year photos as you wander through the aquarium.

Go on an enchanting journey with the new Lunar New Year virtual reality experience where you will be dazzled by colourful gems and sparkling waterfalls as you ride on the back of a very talkative dragon!

Listen out for presentations of SEA LIFE Melbourne’s educational talks in Mandarin and receive a FREE toy by spending $88 in the gift shop or purchasing a kids fish and chips meal from the café.
