New Luxury Port Stephens Hotel Perfect For A Parents-Only Weekender

  • Parents Only

Call the sitter! This new beachside luxury hotel is just screaming for you to take a kid-free weekend escape.

Introducing Bannisters Port Stephens. Tucked away in the picturesque backdrop of the Soldiers Point peninsula, it's only a 2.5 hour drive from Sydney, so you can remove the flight costs and justify the luxury.

Port Stephens is super family-friendly, but this time round why don't you head here solely for some you-time with your main squeeze or the girls?

Here are just a few of the many perks that come with this hotel hotspot...the perfect place for doing sweet, sweet nothing.

Location, Location

Read: Beachfront vistas overlooking the endless blue vistas of Port Stephens Bay, complete with treetop views (spot the koalas!) for days. This. Is. Paradise. Bring on long walks at sunrise and sunset and lazy ocean swims on Shoal Bay beach (pictured above), or check out the Tomaree Headland walk for breathtaking views of Port Stephens.

The State-Of-The-Art Pool

Bannisters' stunning wet-edge Infinity Pool is where it's at, blurring the boundaries between where the bay starts and the pool ends. Bring a book, grab a cocktail and a bite to eat from the Terrace Bar (Mediterranean meets modern Australian) and you'll more than happily spend the whole day here, taking dips between all the lounge time.

A Brand New Spa

Launching in July 2019, Spa Bannisters is an intimate five-room space with outdoor rain showers perfect for washing away the stresses of parentgood! Treatments include massages (for two people or solo), facials, body exfoliations, body cocoons (wraps), peels, pedicures, manicures and waxing.

Fabulous Food

Did we mention British celeb chef and seafood master Rick Stein has an onsite restaurant here? 'Fresh seafood, simply cooked' is what Stein is all about and boy does he deliver. He doesn't fall short on dessert either.

The Luxury Suites

...with space, glorious space! All four of them are 50 sqm, featuring separate king bedroom and living areas, and the cherry on top: a spacious balcony with treetop AND panoramic ocean views, all to yourself.

Sit back with your partner and a drink and take it all in. The Penthouse upgrade is tempting, but we reckon these are penthouse-esque enough! You'll have no complaints about the less pricey Studio Rooms either.
