The Largest Water Play Park in Australia is Opening in NSW

Australia’s largest water play park will open in Lake Macquarie, found just two hours drive north of Sydney.

The water park is part of a $235million development of a former golf course, which will also see the arrival of a 30,000-seater concert venue, with restaurants, cafés and new accommodation.

The park includes three large slides, water sprinklers, a water dump, a huge splash-pad water bucket dump and lazy river for toys to float down.

The bad news though is that it’s only in the planning stages and we’ll have to wait until 2023 before it opens.

New Hunter Valley Development

The redevelopment by Cedar Mill is also part of larger plans to introduce a new family-friendly destination to the Hunter Valley.

A site has been secured for a 100-bed hotel, specialist food and beverage, a wine museum, multiple cellar doors and a 22,000 person concert venue to host events from some of the biggest local and international acts touring Australia.

It will be a $107million development in Pokolbin, found near the Roche Estate.
