New Water Splash Park At Sutherland Leisure Centre Opens Ahead Of Schedule

They may have the beaches but this area has been crying out for a water play park for kids to enjoy. Well, Christmas has come early because the new $1.5 million water fun park at Sutherland Leisure Centre has opened ahead of it's summer schedule!
The water play park, which opened in September this year, is perfect for little ones as it's supervised by a lifeguard, there is shaded relief and the water depth does not exceed 30 centimetres.
“Access to the new Water Fun Park will be included in the Leisure Centre’s standard entry fee with a discounted family rate of $26.50," said Sutherland Council.
“The water fun park is also expected to be self-sustaining in its building and running costs, due to the anticipated increase in patrons this unique space will bring.”
The water park, covering 500 square metres, was built on an existing grass area in the north-western corner of the leisure centre.
When Is It Open To Visit?
The water fun park is open from September to April, but they'll open doors on warm and sunny days outside of that period. Your entry fee also allows unlimited access to indoor and outdoor pools.
The Details
Where: 40 Rawson Ave, Sutherland NSW
Opening hours: Monday to Friday from 10am to 12pm and from 3pm to 6pm, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
Cost: Adults $8.50, kids 3-15 $6.50, kids under 3 free.
