Gelato Messina is Bringing Back 40 of Its Most-Loved Flavours for Takeaway

All hail the rise of the takeaway sweet treat which has become the go-to survival strategy for Sydneysiders since sliding into lockdown 2.0.

We’ve had everything from Black Star Pastry now offering single-slice next-day-delivery of their stellar cakes to takeaway high tea from the five-star likes of the Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park

And now, drum roll please, Gelato Messina has announced not only the re-release of 40 of its most-loved flavours but that they’ll also be available in 500-litre takeaway tubs.

And let's be real, picking 40 favourites from 4000 special flavours created by the leading gelato business was no easy feat.

40 Gelato Messina Flavours Will Return

So, the details… you can pre-order from Monday July 26 via the Gelato Messina website.

Then you then need to pick them up from Sydney's Rosebery, Tramsheds, Bondi, Darlinghurst, Parramatta and Brighton Le Sands stores.

In Melbourne, it’s Fitzroy and East Brunswick stores. And in Brisbane, it’s the South Brisbane store.

Individual tubs can be filled with just one flavour and will set you back $16, or you can get three for $45, six for $85, nine for $125 or if you’re really suffering in iso, 20 for $260.

But what about the flavours? Well,  Messina hasn't announced which ones will be making a comeback.

But there’s been teasings that it’s likely to be Fairy Bread (toast and butter gelato with 100s & 1000s), Mango Pancake (mango gelato with vanilla cream and pancake crunch) and Old Gregg (Baileys and butterscotch sauce).
