Little bookworms will soon be begging to help out with the grocery shopping! Coles is releasing their new miniature collectible campaign this week  - and there are no tiny tins of baked beans or rolls of toilet paper in sight!

Hot on the heels of their coveted Little Shop collections, Coles is launching a range of 24 petite books so children can indulge their love of reading and create their own miniature library.

In partnership with the super talented and best-selling literary duo, author Andy Griffiths and illustrator Terry Denton, the pocket-sized novels are inspired by their award-winning Treehouse book series - the most successful Australian kids’ book series of the past decade. Both boys and girls love the fun, funny stories!

The Coles Little Treehouse™ books

Designed to inspire little readers, the books are based on the much-loved characters of the original series as they explore the ever-expanding treehouse. The Coles Little Treehouse™ collection includes new titles like Jill’s Little Big Book of Animals, Madam Know-it-all’s Believe-it-or-not Book, Vegetable Patty and Elephant on a Bicycle. Each book also includes activities and jokes for endless entertainment!

“We wanted to find an engaging and sustainable way to bring joy and hours of entertainment to Aussie households,” Coles Chief Marketing Officer Lisa Ronson said. “We all remember the excitement that Little Shop created for customers of all ages and we really wanted to create that same level of excitement for reading – because we know that enjoying books on a regular basis leads to improved literacy skills, better educational outcomes and happier children."

The Coles Little Treehouse™ books

“We are truly excited to be able to share the Coles Little Treehouse™ book series with the children of Australia. We have always been committed to creating books that capture the hearts, minds and funny bones of children in order to foster a life-long love of reading,” author Andy Griffiths added.

From this Wednesday 29th July, customers can receive a free Coles Little Treehouse™ book with every $30 spent in one transaction at Coles.

Collector’s Cases will be available for $5 each so enthusiasts can display their full collection. Look out for The original Treehouse Series that will also be on sale from $4 to $8 each at all Coles supermarkets.

Coles will also launch its first picture storybook competition encouraging Aussie kids to create their own fictional book.
