The sunshine and warm spring air are finally creeping up on upon us, but eek, that means spring school holidays are near!

No stress, we've put together a list of the best of the best programs and workshops for kids and families over the spring term break. These are sure to keep the kids entertained, active and stimulated, so that you can stay sane! 

Get Out In Nature

Centennial Park: Learn survival techniques with the WILD PLAY Tracks, Trails and Treasure Hunt programs for children and families. Become a Bike Pro. Join a Pizza Party in the Bush, and we're just getting started on all that's on offer at Centennial Park (pictured above) this spring. 

Royal Botanic Garden Sydney: School holidays with bite - pirates, hungry plants, garden monsters and more! There’s so much on at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney these Spring School holidays. 

Sydney Olympic Park: With 50+ activities on offer, Sydney Olympic Park is your one-stop-shop for school holiday fun this spring. From archery to art classes, writing and science workshops to sport and adventure camps, there's something for every child here...they'll never want to come home!

Trees Adventure: Australia's biggest tree ropes course amongst the Blue Gum canopy along the banks of the pristine Grose River, little monkeys can expend all their energy at Trees Adventure (pictured above) - complete with 110 treetop obstacles, including 20+ ziplines! 

OutBeyond: This 11-day New Zealand South Island Discovery School Holiday Camp kicks off on 22 September 2018. The ultimate adventure camp complete with a picturesque backdrop, win parent of the year by gifting this to your little adventurer. 

Adventure Camp: Adventure Camp runs for three days and is all about getting your kids to appreciate nature while having heaps of fun outdoors! Activities include rafting, snorkeling, swimming, sailing and a whole lot more across multiple locations. 

Australian Botanic Garden, Mount Annan: This gorgeous garden is set in 416 hectares of hills and lakes. The garden features outdoor sculptures, free gas barbeques, a restaurant and a gift shop which sells plants. Head to the bird hide on Lake Nadungamba and see the spectacular bird life, let the little ones enjoy a few hours in the playground, book a picnic shelter for your next family get together or join one of the guided tours. 

The Blue Mountains Botanic Garden, Mount Tomah: This breathtaking garden is the only botanic garden in the world located in a World Heritage Area. Focused on the conservation of cool climate plants it is home to 21,000 plants and 900 species, including the Jurassic Wollemi Pine. Do a self-guided treasure quest, play in the Wild Play area and a whole lot more at this gorgeous garden. 

Tidbinbilla Pop Up Family Wilderness Camp: Get super close to nature and wildlife at this glamping experience for the whole family. See animals in the wild as mother nature intended including kangaroos, koalas, platypus, potoroos, wallaroos, possums, wombats, echidnas, emus, lyrebirds, turtles, sugar gliders alongside many other birds and reptiles, and explore the diverse geography from the wetlands and Eucalypt forest to the mountains in the Tidbinbilla Valley (ACT). 

 

Museum Adventures 

Museum Of Contemporary Art: The MCA's Contemporary Kids Magical Realms spring school holiday program (pictured above) is inspired by the work of Sun Xun, and has been designed for children and their grown-ups to collaborate together. Let your imaginations run wild as you and your little one fly into a realm of new worlds and fill them with fantastical creatures. Draw out your own flying machine or character and or go on an adventure through the Creative Studios, making friends along the way. 

Sydney Living Museum: Sydney Living Museums’ Spring program is full of fun experiences to educate and entertain the kids and enjoy as a family! From bush tucker workshops to art making, Boomerang throwing to story-telling – there’s something to suit the interests of every child. 
 



Learn To Code 

Coder Academy: Whether your child is interested in coding, game design, VR or wearables, Coder Academy (pictured above) has a program for every tech interest. Watch your child transform from technology consumer to technology creator!

Pittwater Golf: Your child can learn the game of golf for life with other children their age, taught by the same Pittwater Golf trainers that coach some of the most seasoned golfers on the Northern Beaches. 

YMCA Holiday Intensive Swimming Program at UNSW: The program is designed to produce significant results, especially for children who are new swimmers, or those looking to improve their swimming skills! Art Est Art School: Based in the Inner West, Art Est offers a great range of creative school holiday workshops for children aged 5-15yrs. Kids will love using their imagination and exploring their creativity with a range of different workshops including painting, drawing, cartooning, ceramics, clay sculpture, pottery wheel, printmaking and more! Every day promises a new, fun challenge. 

Live Love Learn: Offering creative art classes and holiday workshops for children 5 to 12 years in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, Live Love Learn assist them with unleashing their creativity. Classes combine a variety of innovative and mindful activities such as painting, drawing, pottery, yoga,  drama, music, collaborative art and teamwork. 

Seven Hills Plaza: Kids will love designing their own plant pots and planting their own succulents at the DIY Spring Planting Workshop, and designing their own pencil case at the DIY Pencil Case workshop. All activities take place at the plaza's Centre Court. 

Royal Randwick Shopping Centre: Offering Free fun kids activities this Spring school holidays such as: Pot – A – Plant, Face Painting & Activities and Under The Sea Interactive Fun. 

Speaking & Performance Classes

Sydney Speaking School: Offering a range of holiday workshops in debating and public speaking for kids 6-15, Sydney Speaking School (pictured above) seeks to ensure every class is kept small so that every student is given multiple opportunities to speak and build on their confidence in a fun and welcoming environment.

Other Fun Spring Activities

Ice Skating at Liverpool Catholic Club: Don't escape the cold this Spring school holidays - embrace it  and head to Liverpool Catholic Club for a day of fun ice skating. The School Holidays On Ice program is great for kids aged 6-14 with a lesson, afternoon tea and games included. 

iFly Indoor Skydiving: If the kids are after even more adrenalin-fuelled thrills, you could always try indoor skydiving at iFly. Master the flying skills of expert skydivers in the state-of-the-art, fully-controlled, ultra-safe environment. And the all-round viewing platform lets you share the magic with family and friends! 

Puzzle Trail: Play detective at PuzzleTrail, with murder mysteries to be solved, code breakers to be made and explorer quizzes to unravel. To find the hidden objects and solve the mysteries , you must work as a team; making it a great activity that will keep the whole family entertained. It's fun, educational and it encourages kids to get active in the outdoors! 

Escape Hunt Sydney: Indulge in a spot of mystery solving with the whole family within the themed rooms of Escape Hunt Sydney. The objective is to work as a group to escape the room in 60 minutes! You’ll be working through games, challenges, puzzles and clues that will need your combined skills and quick thinking as a team to solve.

Aerialize Kids Circus and Aerial Classes: Run away with the circus for a week, with warm-ups and stretching, hula hoops, juggling, acrobatics, acrobalance, mini tramp, trapeze, aerial ring and tissu. This 5 day course is aimed at children and teens of all abilities. From the timid to the most athletic, this is a great introduction to a large variety of circus skills. Work towards putting all your skills together for a performance on the Friday for family and friends! 

Club PERÓ Rhythmic Gymnastics: These fun holiday programs are aimed at developing strength, flexibility, hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness and music appreciation with Rhythmic Gymnastics apparatus including Rope, Hoop, Ball, Clubs and Ribbon!
