Tis' is the season to be jolly! Ring in the magical Christmas vibes by sharing a picnic with family and friends and singing your favourite carols. Here are the best carols in candlelight events in Melbourne

1) Denis Walter Carols By The Bay, Geelong 

The popular local media personality, Denis Walter has organised Carols by the Bay for many years and also hosts and performs at the event.Sing along to Christmas hymns being performed by some of the region's talented artists as well as some notable Australian performers.There will be plenty of kids activities and dining options. Get into the festive spirit by the beach this Christmas.

2) Wyndham Carols At Werribee Park

The much loved Wyndham Carols returns to the manicured lawns of Werribee Mansion this year. Join in the festive party against a stunning setting for a much-loved  Carols by Candlelight event. With the mansion lit up behind the stage, local and national performers belt out favourite carols for the crowd to sing along. There will also be a depiction of the nativity complete with camels and donkeys.

3) Monash Carols By Candlelight At Jells Park 

Now in its 30th year, the Monash Carols by Candlelight offers one of the largest community concerts of its kind in Victoria, attracting over 25,000 people. The prestigious event hosts a rich entertainment program featuring traditional carols, talented performers, guest artists, concert band and a spectacular fireworks finale.

As well as the main event, this free community celebration features the Kids Tinsel Town, which commences at 4pm with pre-show entertainment, children’s activities and photos with Santa until 7pm!

4) Manningham Carols At Ruffy Lake Park 

Celebrate the festive season at Manningham Carols by Candlelight with traditional carols and musical entertainment, family festival with free children’s activities, stage entertainment with a special visit from Santa and a grand finale of a fireworks display.

Come along and enjoy a family night out singing along to your favourite Christmas carols, plus a very special visit from Santa.
Glow novelties will be available for purchase throughout the evening, along with a range of food and drinks.

5) Hume Carols By Candlelight, Craigieburn

This event has been generating Christmas spirit and excitement for many years. Come enjoy the show with thousands of others. There are free kids activities, roving performers and entertainment. A celebrity MC, community choirs and local artists will entertain families as they settle in on their picnic blankets, candles in hand, ready for an open-air concert under the stars.

6) Carols By The Lake, Coburg 

Coburg lake will shine and shimmer in the candlelight as thousand gather for the annual Carols In the candlelight event by the Coburg Lake Reserve. The event will feature pre-carols entertainment including roving Christmas performers and kids activities.
