The Langham, Melbourne

You know you're onto a winner when you're staying at a twice awarded winner of the Travel + Leisure Magazine USA 'World's Best Awards Readers' Survey' as the top city hotel in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

Right on the river at Southbank, near the NGV, Federation Square, Birrarung Marr and every eatery the CBD offers, The Langham can't be beaten for location. Better yet, it truly is a wonderful stay, especially with kids. The rooms are luxurious and delightful (some even with fully-equipped kitchens, and we mean fully-equipped!), and the dining even better.

QT Melbourne

One of the most unique and quirky hotels in the city, QT Melbourne is another fantastic place to stay with kids. The bright, unusual decor is always a winner, as is the dedicated onsite cake shop. Yes, cake shop!

The buffet at Pascale Bar & Grill is a feast for the senses, and super-kid-friendly, with smoothies and juices in little jars, and a riot of fresh fruit (there's also waffles and pancakes made to order for breakfast too!). We love that you can order baby food purees off the menu, and the kids' menu is suitably fancy. Valrhona pain au chocolate, anyone?!

You can grab a one, two, or even three-bedroom apartment in this environmentally friendly rated hotel, right near the Crown Casino, the Convention and Exhibition Centre and Etihad Stadium, Docklands (and DFO shopping!).

We love the complimentary relaxation room with massage chairs, free hot chocolates, the library and complimentary book exchange in the A-Lounge.
