Sydney Wildlife World houses the nation’s largest variety of Australian animals under one roof and provides a complete all-Australian wildlife activity experience for kids in the heart of Darling Harbour. From the tiniest insect to one of the world’s largest crocodiles (scary for very young children-beware!), Wildlife World houses every native creature you can imagine.

Koalas and kangaroos never fail to delight kids and the open-air rooftop enclosure at Wildlife World allows a real up close and personal encounter. Little lovers of creepy crawlies will be thrilled with the many spiders, insects and snakes exhibited. You can also take a trip into the dark, nocturnal world of bilbies, quolls and sugar-gliders. The Wildlife World experience ends with a walk through the magical butterfly enclosure.

Combination tickets are available to be used in conjunction with Sydney Aquarium and Manly Oceanworld and offer a great discount. Better still, you have an entire month in which to visit both attractions.

Sydney Wildlife World is available to hire for birthday parties and offers great school holiday activities which are included at no additional charge with admission. Keep an eye out for great kids’ activities during term as well.

Ellaslist Opinion: Sydney Wildlife World is an excellent place to introduce children to Australian wildlife and fauna as it houses an enormous number of native animals, insects and reptiles, yet is set in a very contained space and is so easily accessed from the city. Some young children (and a few mums!) may be little unnerved by the giant croc and creepy cassowary but the wallabies are super cute. This is one of our favourite rainy day activities and it is very easy to spend a couple of very pleasant hours here and and there’s plenty of room for active kids to race around.  Entry prices are steep but there are often internet deals for cheap tickets and Annual Passes and Combination Tickets also bring the cost down significantly.
