Next to Rose Bay Marina and Pier restaurant there’s a lovely strip of beach edged with trees and grass with an amazing view over Rose Bay harbour. It’s so quiet and so peaceful apart from the occasional dog walker, but the best bit, come late afternoon a lot of the beach becomes speckled in shade. Take a rug, a picnic, a bucket and spade and let your bubs have a paddle at the lapping waters edge. At low tide, the beach is less pretty but you can go looking for the starfish that bury themselves just under the sand. There’s a couple of benches here, but nothing else, there’s a loo at the Marina and a lovely little café serving great food while you ogle at the boats.
Parking is on the surrounding streets, and there’s a ramp for strollers from the road. A great place to get out of the sun. There’s another similar strip of beach just on the right of Lyne Park Tennis Courts. Team this with a visit to Lyne Park Playground or Rose Bay Marina Cafe
