Hats off to Randwick City Council for this fabulous mega children’s playground on the lovely Grant Reserve at the South end of Coogee Beach. It’s huge! and just brimming with fantastic equipment and space for all ages. There’s almost too much to mention here but you’ll find swings, fortresses, puzzles, climbing posts, things to climb under, over, through,to sit on, to wobble on, a giant rope climbing pyramid for the older kids, a cute raised mini sandpit, 3 toddler friendly slides, foam flooring, plenty of places to sit, plenty of shade under trees and canopys, BBQ areas, clean toilets nearby, the list goes on …..
Check out the nearby Wylies Baths and the wonderfully old school McIvers Women and Children’s pool right beside the playground. Plenty of parking available in surrounding streets. Recommended!

I can’t believe it took until my son was 2 1/2 to discover this gem of a playground. It is huge-with a great variety of unique equipment. I love the foam flooring as there is plenty of room for my 8 month old can also crawl and try to toddle at her heart’s content without ingesting great mouthfuls of wood chip. And best of all, there are bbqs within the gated playground and heaps of seating so you can have an early dinner while the kids play. Highly recommended!

We live in Coogee and come here nearly every day,I’m always surprised when I meet mums who haven’t been to this park yet – it’s so big! There’s also an other smaller playpark at Blenheim Park, it’s quiet but doesn’t have nearly as much stuff as grant reserve.
Barzura Cafe on the beachfront is nice for breakfast and coffee, they do a kids menu too.
